Sting’s web portal is not just another web site. It is a powerful tool that simplifies the management of our clients security, safety, and monitoring systems. In real time, customers can change passwords and contact lists, update user access, and review detailed reports. There is no waiting for hours or days for changes to be made.

Additionally, when service is required, the portal’s service tracking system can initiate service tickets, confirm receipt of these tickets, and notify specific individuals each time Sting advances work on any project.

We’re moving our web portal way beyond the realm of burglar alarm equipment management to allow our customers to interact with multiple types of video equipment, HVAC systems, people counters, and electronic article surveillance systems at their sites, without the need for multiple monitoring platforms.

Website access is maintained through a hierarchical tree which is customized to mirror each customer’s organizational structure. Each authorized user is granted access with permissions for viewing and/or editing information associated with only those locations for which they are responsible. The user’s scope of control is determined by their placement in their organizational hierarchy and by the permissions granted them by the administrator.

Each customer may assign one or more users as their administrator or may chose to have Sting provide this function. In addition to viewing and/or editing information for all locations, the customer can add/delete their web site users, relocate users within their organization, or re-configure their organization. An event log maintains an audit trail of all web site activity transacted by any user. This powerful and flexible control permits customers to effectively utilize web site features that are designed to facilitate operational efficiencies.

Location Management
The web site allows an authorized user to manage many key security and management functions at the individual location level. These include:

  • Control Premise Access By Adding/Deleting/Changing Panel Pass Codes
  • Manage Call List
  • Put Location On Test And Restore
  • Perform Zone Test
  • Manage Supervised Open/Close Schedule

The web site provides option of creating and viewing/downloading a wide variety of reports, including:

  • Open/close activity – historical & real-time notification

  • Real-time notification of service ticket receipt, scheduling and completion invoice history

Document Library
The website offers the customers access to a document library where they can view and/or download technical/user manuals related to installed products.
